Another gem to add to the list of South indian restaurants in bay area!! Their menu is limited as compared to others, but the food they serve is delicious and satisfying. Service is quite fast. Our 3 dosas came within 5 minutes of ordering. It takes quite a while to get s table, as they have long waiting usually. But once in, we were done in 30 min from ordering to billing. The place is clean and tidy. Chutneys are great and someone comes around serving more if needed. Great place and worth the wait.

Good food. Some consistency issues especially when compared the Idly Express which has been such a favorite with everyone in my family. Also ridiculous wait times which is keeping us away from the place in the recent past. Love the coffee!! Such a delightful experience that is. Also love the Carnatic music that is always playing in the background. Makes for such a fantastic ambience. Service does need to improve. It is slow and having to get up to order more dishes is very inconvenient especially after a 45 minute wait.

When I lived in South Bay, I could get dosa and uttapam whenever I wanted. But SF does not have the same luxury, unfortunately. A friend highly recommended Mylapore and took me here for lunch a couple of days ago. It really hit the spot. I got the onion masala dosa, though honestly I didn't know what some of the other dosas were. The dosa itself was thin and crispy. The space is pretty big and the turnover is fast. They come around and refill your waters and chutneys often. It's in a strip mall, so you might have to fight for parking during peak times.

The $7.99 Dosa Happy Hour is incredible! I simply love dosa so having Mylapore so close is a huge benefit. Courteous service, awesome food and nice ambiance makes this restaurant a winner in my book.

A long wait for a Sunday lunch, but well worth it! We got the lunch Thali, the benne dosa and the filter coffee. The Thali had food was authentic and delicious across the board. A minor nit was that the papad had lost its crunch. They had a steady stream of patrons and this isn't a place for a leisurely lunch but one focused on ordering, serving and eating efficiently. You pay at the counter and are given a number for your table. The coffee is served based on the tokens that you've paid for and you can take these to the coffee counter when you want your coffee. This is perfect for those of us who prefer to have their coffee after their meal and want it hot at that time! Their food is authentic and tasty, although the wait times mean that you need to plan this outing.

Great Food, Quick Service and really nice ambiance Mylapore - Westgate has been a popular South Indian food joint for a while now and it's continued with this new joint opening. The place is always crowded and especially during the weekend brunch hours the wait runs over an hour. Highly recommend them to adopt an online check in option (the only reason for a 4* review) The food is great - the dosas are nice and crispy, the flavors are amazing and the chutneys are unlimited! The other offerings including the ghee Podi Idly and rasa vada are great! Overall a great experience but be ready to wait!

We finally made the trek from Redwood City to Saratoga for the food and boy! did they deliver. The wait wasn't too bad - we got on the waitlist as we left RwC and got our table after a 10 minute wait at the restaurant. I ordered the house thali - White Rice, Papad, Red Pumpkin Thuvial, Mixed Vegetable Kootu, Okra Sambar, Kalyana Rasam, Potato Kara Kari, Curd Rice with Pickle, Badam Halwa. Every single dish was on point and like something one of my aunties ( mami) back in T-Nagar/ Mylapore/ Adyar. It was brilliant - the only dish in the mix that was average and that was the potato Kari. My husband had the Onion Masala Dosa and it was pretty good - chutney and Sambar was excellent and there was someone walking around giving out extra chutneys and Sambar which was amazing. The piece de resistance was the filter coffee - the making of the coffee was almost like watching a theater show - https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8kt6tPS0vR/?igsh=ZXc5eDh3aW8wcHIx We picked up two curries to go - the pavvakai pithlai and the saag paneer for the house We absolutely loved our experience at Mylapore Express and can't wait to go back again !!! Food - Excellent Service - A-plus Ambience - Excellent
